Zi Lan’s behavior may seem heartless, but in fact it is a kind of cruel love, a kind of love that hopes that the child will succeed. In order for Lan Hun'er to develop an independent character, to develop a wolf's style of fighting and grabbing, and to allow it to stand tall in the future, Zi Lan must do this. This is reflected in Zi Lan's refusal to help Lan Hun'er grab the beef loin.
