[Song] Wang Zhu
Learning comes from diligence, but thousands of books is the window of fireflies.
Three winters are enough for today, and whoever laughs is empty.
Translation of works
Learning needs hard work, just like those predecessors with lights, they study diligently at night and read a lot of books.
Study hard for a few years, "literature and history are enough in three winters", and you will be learned. At that time, who would laugh at your lack of ink and knowledge?

Creation background
Wang Zhu's poetry is brilliant. He has written many five-character quatrains, which are short poems that are easy for children to remember. At that time, teachers compiled more than 30 five-character quatrains endowed by Wang Zhu into a collection of poems called Poems of Wang Shentong. The words in the prodigy's poems are easy to understand and very suitable for children to recite. It, like San Zi Jing, is known as a "wonderful book of ancient and modern times" and has become the main teaching material for cultivating Mongolian children. It is widely spread and has a far-reaching influence. Especially as one of them: "The son of heaven values heroes, and the article teaches two Cao. Everything is inferior, but reading is expensive and paying attention to reasons. " "The dynasty was Tian Shelang, and the emperor was in the hall at dusk." One should be self-reliant because he has no seeds. ""Young people must study hard and sweat, and the article can stand on its own feet. " "If you study hard and practice hard, thousands of books will learn from it." "Learning is the treasure of the body, and Confucianism is the treasure of the table." "Huang Jinbao, the last son, can't teach once." It is almost a household name, and it is well known to all women and children, such as "a long drought meets the rain, an old friend meets another country, and a wedding night is the number one scholar".
As an adult, Wang Zhu signed the Hospital Khan, and he became familiar with classics and history. However, after many exams, I failed. It was not until the third year of Song Zhezong Fu Yuan (1 100) that he was admitted to Jinshi and became a professor of political science in the Ming Dynasty. Because Wang Zhu is a good teacher and honest, many students in his class follow him, and he has the hope of the government. The world calls him "Teacher Wang". It is precisely because of his excellent teaching that he was well-known in the imperial court that Wang Zhu was posthumously named "Doctor Zhengfeng" (the official secretary), giving him higher preferential treatment. The book left behind is "An Exegesis of the Spring and Autumn Period".
Brief introduction of the author
Wang Zhu was born in Yinxian (now Yinzhou District, Ningbo). Fu Yuan was a scholar for three years (1 100), with a bachelor's degree in official literature hall. He is young and clever, and he can write poems at the age of nine, so he is called a prodigy of Wang. His father, Wang Yuanji, is a county magistrate in Yinxian County. When Wang Anshi was the magistrate of Yinxian County, Wang Yuanji was recommended to the transshipment history at that time because he valued Wang Yuanji's character, and Wang Yuanji was assigned to be responsible for the legal affairs of Mingzhou Prefecture (judicial participation in the army).
The story about Wang Zhu.
Wang Zhu, a native of Yinxian County, was able to write poems at the age of 9, and the villagers called him a "prodigy". When Wang Anshi was a magistrate in Yinxian County, he led Juren and scholars to visit the Confucius Temple. Suddenly, he found someone writing a poem in charcoal on the wall of the hall:
Yan Hui watches the stars at night, and the master walks in the rain. How many officials have been issued since then, and who is willing to repair their money?
Signature: Nine-year-old boy Wang Zhu.
Wang Anshi was very surprised to see a 9-year-old child write such a profound poem, so he ordered someone to see him.
Wang Zhu and his father went to see the county magistrate. When his father Wang Yuanji met Wang Anshi, he was naturally terrified. He even said that his godson was lax and looked up to him.
Seeing Wang Yuanji's honesty, Wang Anshi looked at Wang Zhu again, a supercilious look. He couldn't help asking kindly, "Did you write this poem on the wall?" Wang Zhu replied, "This was written by a child." He said in a childlike tone, "Adults must have understood my poems when they visited the Confucius Temple today."
Wang Anshi is very interested in the child in front of him. Seeing that Wang Zhu was wearing a blouse, he casually said, "The Analects of Confucius said,' A gentleman respects his eyes by his clothes.' It's against etiquette for you to come to see me in such a short shirt and sandals! "
Hearing this, Wang Zhu bowed to Wang Anshi at once, and tactfully replied, "A prodigy's shirt is very short, and his sleeves can make the spring breeze. He didn't go to see the emperor, so he came to visit. "
When Wang Diedan judged Shi Yi's answer, he couldn't help exclaiming that the reputation of a child prodigy really deserved its reputation.
