In my opinion, "knowing yourself" is equivalent to answering the following three questions: "Who am I?" ?,?Where do I come from? ?and?where to go? ?. There is no doubt that everyone can answer these three questions, but it takes some thinking to truly understand the meaning behind these three questions. In fact, there are often very simple things in our lives that contain profound philosophical truths. 01. Who am I?
As for "Who am I?", I believe many people will answer with people or their own names. Although we use the word "I" almost every day in our daily lives, few of us really think about the question "Who am I"? "I" is a subject for ourselves, and the material outside of "me" is an object for us. Once we start to think about "who am I", then "I" have been objectified by us. . Constantly thinking about this issue can continuously strengthen our self-awareness and enhance our understanding of ourselves. 02. Where do I come from?
Physiologically speaking, we are all born from our own parents; from a human evolutionary perspective, we evolve from gorillas. In fact, tracing "Where do I come from?" will eventually become the question of "Where do human beings come from?" Different philosophers have different views on this issue. What is certain is that the biggest difference between humans and animals is that humans know how to practice. They not only have rational thinking, but also work in action. 03. Where do you want to go?
From a personal point of view, "Where do you want to go?" is asking about personal life goals. Of course, different people have different life goals; from a human perspective as a whole , "Where are we going?" is asking about the common goal of human beings. From a philosophical point of view, the common goal of people is to achieve freedom. The "freedom" here does not mean "we can do whatever we want". This idea is based on the premise of following the objective laws of social development.
