Dear judges and prosecutors, selling husbands as pawns, driving cars and selling paper pulp are legitimate occupations that have existed since ancient times. My client came to the city, forced by life, engaged in such a humble and poor job, living in poverty and earning little. But he is always kind and simple. No matter how much society hurts him, he doesn't steal or rob, and he doesn't live in a way that hurts others.

In order to ensure the full realization of the right of criminal suspects and defendants to entrust defense, Article 33 of the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates three important procedural guarantees:

1, right notice. When interrogating a criminal suspect for the first time or taking compulsory measures against him, the investigation organ shall inform him that he has the right to entrust a defender.

2, on behalf of the committee. If a criminal suspect or defendant is in custody, his guardian or near relative may also entrust a defender.

3. Entrust a defender to inform. After accepting the entrustment of a criminal suspect or defendant, the defender shall promptly inform the case-handling organ.
