Lu Xun wrote this sentence at the end of the third paragraph of the preface to Scream: I still remember the comments and prescriptions of doctors before. Compared with what I know now, I gradually realize that Chinese medicine is just a liar, intentionally or unintentionally, and I feel sympathy for the deceived patients and their families.

Reasons why Lu Xun disagreed with TCM;

1 is related to the social atmosphere at that time.

During the Republic of China, many charlatans went to the countryside to practice medicine. Under the guise of "secret recipe from the ancestors", they sold the so-called dog skin plaster that can cure all diseases to patients. Unexpectedly, many people, like Lu Xun's father, spent money but suffered, and finally could not be treated.

2. It is related to Lu Xun's study of western medicine.

On one occasion, Mr. Fujino taught students to draw a "human anatomical structure map". Lu Xun felt good about himself after drawing the map, thinking that he would be praised by Mr. Fujino. Unexpectedly, after reading it, Mr. Fujino severely criticized Lu Xun.
