Khonsu (English: Khonsu) is the first generation moon god in ancient Egyptian mythology. He is known as the Wanderer, the Embracer, the Pathfinder and the Protector. He is the god of light and night and the creator of people's destiny. He protects people from wild animals, enhances men's fertility and aids in healing. In areas such as Thebes, he is considered to be the son of Amun and Mut, and is called the Three Pillar Gods together with his parents.
