When the first king knew about it, he stopped the envy of the people, profited from it, gave it to you, took you, and was poor and rich in you. Therefore, the people dress like the sun and the moon, and are close to their parents. 」?

That is, the state controls all livelihood channels and monopolizes the distribution of social wealth by political, economic and legal means, so people must rely on the gifts given by the rulers if they want to survive and develop. This thought became the golden rule for later rulers to govern the country. Even today, we can still see the influence of Guan Zhong's thought.
