Translation: It is a pleasant thing to study and review constantly. It is a happy thing to have friends from far away as guests. I don’t resent people who don’t understand me. I am not a gentleman!
2. Clever words and charming words, fresh and benevolent.
Translation: People who talk sweetly and smile all over their faces rarely have a loving heart.
3. Are you being unfaithful to others? Make friends but don’t believe it? Are you not used to it?
Translation: Have you tried your best to do things for others, have you been dishonest in your interactions with friends, and have you learned well what you taught others. These are three things you must reflect on every day!
4. When making friends, keep your word.
Translation: To make friends, you must keep your word.
5. A gentleman who has nothing to eat and nothing to live in, who is sensitive to things but careful in his words, is Taoist and upright, and can be said to be eager to learn.
Translation: A gentleman does not seek satisfaction in his diet, does not seek comfort in his residence, is agile in his work, cautious in his speech, and goes to virtuous people to correct himself. It can be said that he is eager to learn.
6. Be knowledgeable and determined, ask questions carefully and think deeply; benevolence is in it.
Translation: Study extensively, strengthen your ambitions, ask questions sincerely and think in connection with reality, this is where benevolence lies.
7. It is like discussing and discussing, and it is like polishing.
Translation: Improving one's own self-cultivation is like carving jade or stone. It requires hard work.
8. Don’t worry about what others don’t know, but worry about what others don’t know.
Translation: Don’t be afraid that others don’t understand you, but be afraid that you don’t understand others.
9. Three hundred poems can be summed up in one sentence: thinking without evil.
Translation: Chapter 305 of the Book of Songs. To sum up its entire content in one sentence, it can be said to be: 'Things that are pure and free from evil things'.

Translation: Confucius said: "I am determined to study at the age of fifteen; I have made achievements at the age of thirty; I am not confused when encountering problems at the age of forty; I understand the laws of nature at the age of fifty; I can listen to different opinions at the age of sixty. You can do whatever you want, and you won’t go beyond the rules.”
