1. Prison Storm (English: Prison on Fire) is an action and prison film produced by Hong Kong New Art City Film Company in 1987. The film was directed by Lin Lingdong and starred by Chow Yun Fat, Tony Leung Ka Fai and Roy Cheung.
2. The film tells about the enmity between prisoners, gangs and wardens in prison. Although the advertising designer Lu Jiayao (Tony Leung Ka Fai) is young and promising, he was sentenced to three years in prison for preventing bad elements from making troubles and accidentally injuring others. His cellmate Zhong Tianzheng (Chow Yun Fat) originally had a wife and son, but now he regrets it and is determined to mend his ways after he is released from prison. The two became bosom friends in adversity.
There are frequent gang fights in prison, and Lu Jiayao gets help from Zhong Tianzheng from time to time. Xiong (Roy Cheung), a killer of prison guards, is fierce, and Zhong Tian is bearing a grudge with him when he can't bear it. The two of them have a big fight and are seriously injured in hospital.
