Daqinglou (I)
Daqinglou is located in the north of the East Courtyard of Shuaifu. It was built in 1918 (in the seventh year of the Republic of China) and completed in 1922 (in the eleventh year of the Republic of China). It is a polygonal, brick-concrete structure with imitation Roman style, blue brick wall [hence the name Daqinglou (building name to be tested)] and white cement. The downstairs steps are about one meter high, and there is an eight-shaped vertical belt on the south and nine steps on the east. There are three doors on the front of the first floor, the middle of which is semi-circular and shines through the door, and the two sides are semi-circular group combination doors. It is the platform on the second floor and the two prominent semi-circular balconies on the third floor. It's all cement plaid, and it's decorated with triangular patterns.
Daqinglou has a total construction area of 2,46 square meters, with three floors above ground and one underground. The whole building is 37 meters high, and the top floor has a sightseeing platform, which is the highest point in Fengtian City except Phoenix Building during the Republic of China. The whole building is large in scale, and the external three-dimensional relief and the mural decoration of the main rooms inside have high artistic value.
Daqinglou is lower than Phoenix Tower in Shenyang Forbidden City, and it doesn't have the imposing manner of commanding the world. Daqinglou was built in the Republic of China with modern significance. At this time, the Qing court had abdicated for ten years, and the scenery of Manchu was already gone, while Zhang Zuolin was the supreme ruler of Northeast China, and his wealth was far more than rich. In addition, the expansion project of Shuaifu East Hospital began in 1918. On August 5th of the same year, with Meng Siyuan officially handing over the seal of the overseer to Zhang Zuolin's children's in-laws Bao Guiqing in Jilin City, the capital of Jilin Province, Zhang Zuolin has just ascended the throne of the three northeastern provinces after several years of hard work. The military and political power in the three northeastern provinces fell into the hands of Zhang Zuolin, becoming a veritable "Northeast King". You can completely build your new building a few meters higher than the Phoenix Building, thus becoming the tallest building in Fengtian City, so as to show your highest position in Northeast China. But why did Zhang Zuolin, who used to steal the limelight, wronged himself this time and built a room slightly lower than the Phoenix Building?
Looking at the situation at that time, various factions in the customs are intertwined. You have me and I have you, and they often collude for their own interests. Only Zhang Zuolin, isolated from the customs, was regarded by many powerful enemies as a tiger dormant beside his bed. In this situation, although Zhang Zuolin has completed unification in Northeast China, in fact, its handsome position is unstable, and two powerful countries around Japan and Russia covet it, and a strong enemy is surrounded outside, so many people want to replace it. When Zhu Yuanzhang asked Zhu Sheng about his major policies, Zhu Sheng said nine words: build a wall high, accumulate grain widely, and be king slowly. At that time, Zhang Zuolin's side, there are many talented people, such as Wang Yongjiang, and there are also many scholars who stay in the country. It is impossible for him not to know Zhu Sheng's nine-word famous saying. With his cleverness, he will naturally have a deep understanding of the meaning of "slow king". The Phoenix Tower in the Forbidden City was the imperial palace in the Qing Dynasty, and it was a symbol of imperial power. If you build a mansion higher than the Phoenix Tower, it will be easy for the powerful enemy in Shanhaiguan Pass to seize the handle of "seeking usurpation", thus raising a teacher for rebellion and causing a disaster for yourself.
Of course, this is only speculation or inference and analysis, and no conclusive supporting historical materials can be found. But there is one thing that tells a lot about Zhang Zuolin's psychology at that time.
On November 15th, 1919, the governors of Kyrgyzstan and Montenegro led the heads of government agencies in this province to host a banquet in feng tian Office in honor of the participating headlands, and Zhang Zuolin attended. During the meeting, several counties and townships in Tonghua, Kaitong and Shuang Shan mentioned the proposal of building a merit monument for Zhang Zuolin, the founder of Gonggao Gaizu, and asked Bai Yongzhen, Speaker of Fengtian Parliament, to convey it. After listening to Bai Yongzhen's retelling, Zhang Zuolin didn't refuse, only said that it would be suspended for three years.
Zhang Zuolin agreed to build the monument, but he didn't want to build it now, which just shows that he thinks the time is not yet ripe. What is needed at this time is dormancy, not publicity. What he wants to do is a Siberian tiger hidden in the deep grass forest, not a stupid bear dancing and tying at the top of the mountain. Knowing this, we can understand why Zhang Zuolin didn't build the tallest building in Fengtian, and at the same time, we can understand why he inscribed the word "Walk cautiously" in front of the rockery in front of the Big Brothel.
So, is Zhang Zuolin really willing to share the honor with the faded Phoenix Tower? If this were the case, Zhang Zuolin would not call it Zhang Zuolin. If you compare these two tall buildings carefully, you will find the brilliance of Zhang Zuolin. Phoenix Tower is a spire with ridges. It is impossible for people to sit on the spire, and activities can only be carried out in the room under the eaves. The big brothel is flat-topped, and there is a viewing platform specially built on the roof that can accommodate more than 2 people. Every New Year's Eve, the Zhang family boarded the big brothel, sat on the observation deck, drank wine and delicacies, watched thousands of lights and bathed in the evening breeze. In everyday life, Zhang Zuolin often climbed onto the roof of Daqing, surrounded by all the guards, and he was far-sighted and looked at the sky. This kind of feeling can't be found at all in Phoenix Tower.
between the two floors, it's self-evident. Historians say that Zhang Zuolin has a brilliant mind, and Daqinglou can testify to this.
There is a rockery in front of the building. There are pavilion caves and stone steps on the hill, and it is surrounded by phoenix trees and acacia trees. It was built by Zhang Zuolin himself, which can be regarded as a garden landscape, a shadow wall in traditional buildings, and also has the function of defending the fortress. This is because Zhang Dashuai is a soldier. However, it still can't stop the war that was flying in those days. Less than 1 years after the building of Daqinglou, the "September 18th" war spread all over the northeast, which resulted in its tragic fate.
The door opening of the rockery faces the main entrance of the Daqing Building. There is a plaque written by Zhang Zuolin in the door opening, with the words "Heaven governs people's hearts" in the south and "Be cautious" in the north. It seems to warn the powerful people in and out of the big brothel to be cautious and to be reasonable.
Ballroom:
It's a place for the Zhang family to have dinner and entertain important guests. It is worth noting that the Autumn Harvest in the Ballroom is the largest and most wonderful mural in the Blue House. It vividly depicts the prosperity of the autumn harvest in the rural areas of Northeast China on a picture 3 meters long and 1 meter wide, and it is a rare painting treasure.
The interior of the banquet hall is opposite the mural of Autumn Harvest Map. These two smoke towers behind the wooden Fang were used by Zhang Zuolin to entertain guests to smoke opium, which was very popular among the upper class during the rule of Fengzhi warlords.
In 1932, the Daqing Building was transformed into a library by "pseudo-Manchu", and the original architectural pattern was broken and destructively rebuilt. More than 1 places in the building were changed and many load-bearing buildings were damaged.
