Yu Jing of the Song Dynasty was named Wuxi. Born in Shaozhou, Guangdong (now Shaoguan, Guangdong), he was a newly-built county magistrate and later moved to Secretary Cheng. You Jing for three years (1036), was demoted to Yun Jian wine tax for defending the demoted foreign minister Fan Zhongyan. In the third year (1043), he was appointed as an imperial doctor, who gave advice to the emperor, but Yu dared to give advice. In order to give advice on "frivolous and thin taxes", to get rid of greedy and incompetent officials, and to comfort the tired and sleepy civil affairs, he repeatedly opposed the emperor, so that his saliva splashed on the emperor's "dragon face", which was still unfinished. Li Qing four years (1044), was appointed as the envoy to the Khitan. At that time, he often said, "I didn't promise much, so I didn't live up to expectations." The phrase "You can't trust a promise, so an old friend will live up to me" skillfully used diplomatic means to convince one Liao master, thus safeguarding the interests of the Song Dynasty in time in the complicated triangle relationship between Song, Liao and Xia.
