An English poem about rabbits.
The neglected rabbit (the forgotten rabbit)

I remember Easter.

This is colorful and interesting.

My new life.

In my new cage.

I'm just a little thing.

When they brought me back from the store

They put me on the floor.

In my cage.

They will take me out to play.

Always love me and spoil me

Then at the end of the day, I will climb

In my cage.

But as day after day, week after week passed.

It seems that I seldom see them.

I dreamed of their loving touch.

In my cage.

At night outside their house

I feel sad and neglected.

Often feel scared and unprotected.

In my cage.

In dry or rainy weather

Sometimes it's hotter and sometimes it's colder.

I just sat there and grew old.

In my cage.

Cats and dogs ran past me.

Only play with each other

When I was sitting there feeling lonely

In my cage.

On the fresh green grass

The children danced and laughed all day.

I can only watch them play.

From my cage.

They used to take me out

Let me run in the sun

I can't run anymore.

In my cage.

Used to be a cute little rabbit.

Like a little cotton ball

Now I'm grown up and forgotten.

In my cage.

I don't know what went wrong.

In the home where I live

I have just grown into a rabbit.

In my cage.

But they took me to an animal shelter.

I have been loved and enjoyed.

Now I'm waiting to be destroyed

In my cage.
