Thoughts after watching "I Love You China: The Earth Is Fluctuating"
A few weeks ago, the teacher organized us to watch the documentary "I Love You China: The Earth Is Fluctuating". In the 1880s and 1990s, after China carried out the great revolution of reform and opening up, people's world outlook, values ??changed and their pursuit of a better life.
The narration at the beginning of the record is still vivid in my mind: In 1978, two seemingly unrelated figures shocked the world at the same time, Margaret Thatcher and Deng Xiaoping. They all borrowed the famous saying of French politician Fran?ois Guizot and issued the same call to the people: "Get rich!"
Of course, here I am more concerned about Deng Xiaoping's efforts to make the people "get rich." method----reform and opening up. In 1978, the Communist Party of China held the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which was of great historical significance, ushering in a new historical period of reform and opening up. At the end of the 1970s, domestically, the "Cultural Revolution" decade of civil strife caused the party and the people to suffer serious setbacks and losses. At that time, the political situation was chaotic, the economy was in a state of slow development and stagnation, and the national economy was on the verge of collapse. From the perspective of the international environment, the new scientific and technological revolution that flourished around the world in the 1970s pushed the world economy forward at a faster speed. The gap between my country's economic strength, scientific and technological strength and the international advanced level has obviously widened, and it is facing huge international challenges. Competitive pressure. Under this circumstance, the only way to enhance the vitality of our country's socialism, liberate and develop social productive forces, improve people's lives, and catch up with the trend of the times is reform and opening up. Therefore, as soon as the reform and opening up policy came out, the people developed the economy like a spring breeze.
In the mid-to-late 1980s, people's "views on money" began to change. People no longer talked about money, but made money openly and openly in their own way. "Stamp fever" and "Clivia fever" once emerged in society. The reportage "Crazy Clivia" caused a sensation at that time. There are different opinions on these "hots", but they reflect the awakening of people's wealth consciousness and the narrowing of investment channels. But it was a training for people's investment awareness at that time, which laid the social foundation for the stock craze in the 1990s. In 1987, by the Houhai Lake in Beijing, several early "returnees" were planning to establish a stock exchange in China. In 1990, the Shanghai Stock Exchange was established and the development of Pudong was launched. In 1992, Deng Xiaoping's southern tour sounded the clarion call for deepening reform and opening up, and also unveiled the history of personal entrepreneurship in China in the 1990s. In the 1990s, the economy entered a national business model, ideas gradually became more diversified and open, and culture experienced secular turmoil. The whole of China became a "field" full of desire and vitality, full of opportunities and excitement. Every person, every thought, and every activity is on this stage of historical instantaneous transformation, coming and going in a hurry and then quickly disappearing. "Company fever" appears in society, and at the same time, stock fever gradually rises, so that getting rich is no longer a patent for some people, and everyone has equal opportunities. This craze was vividly shown in the movie "Stock Madness". The educated youth generation began to divide at this time. A new class began to emerge, and with it, gentrification and a lifestyle in line with international standards emerged. The "post-70s generation" began to step onto the stage of history. They bid farewell to campus and, driven by their inner desires and the market, began to look for the key to a new era.
The reason why the above phenomenon occurs in China is, I believe, inseparable from my country’s comprehensive reform, all-round, multi-level, and wide-area opening up. Facts have also proved that reform and opening up is the only way to develop socialism with Chinese characteristics and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The direction and path of reform and opening up are completely correct, and the results and achievements cannot be denied. There is no way out for pause and retrogression.
(I just happened to write about it a few days ago, and I would like to share the resources. I hope it can help you)
