Version 1: Biass (also translated as Bias) of Plina (Asia Minor), Chilon (also translated as Kelun) of Sparta, Lindus Kleoboulos (Kleoboulos, also translated as Cleobulus) (Rhodes), Periandros (also translated as Periandros) of Corinth, Mytilena (Lesbian) Pittakos (also translated as Pittacus), Solon of Athens and Thales of Miletus. This version is widely circulated, and this entry adopts this theory.
