Andre bazan is a master of French post-war modern film theory. From 65438 to 0945, he published the foundational article "The Ontology of Photographic Images" of the theoretical system of film realism. In 1950s, he founded and served as the editor-in-chief of Film Handbook. Bazin died young, unable to personally experience an innovative period of western films after the war-the rise of the new wave in France. But his colleagues in the film handbook (the famous film handbook school) set off a new wave, put his theory into practice on the screen, and brought a new breath of real aesthetics to the film. Therefore, andre bazan is called "the father of the new film wave", "the father of the spirit" and "Aristotle of the film" (different from "Hegel of the film"-(French) jean mitry).
