The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by American writer Steve Elton. It tells the story of the prehistoric giant megalodon accidentally escaping from the deep sea and reappearing on earth to kill people. Plot summary:
An international scientific research project led by China was being carried out deep in the Mariana Trench.
