Text/Mr. Gengyun
Confucianism has different views on human nature. Mencius believed that human nature is inherently good, and if you are tainted with evil, you will become evil. Xunzi believed that human nature is inherently evil and must be cultivated through education, so that one can know evil and eliminate evil in order to achieve good. Yang Zi believes that good and evil are the two sides of human nature. Wang Yangming advocated that "the heart is reason, and the nature of the mind is non-dual." He believed that the mind is silent and motionless, and it can sense and understand. There is no good or evil at all. Good or evil is something that happens after the body has thought, and has no relationship with the nature of the mind.
Although "will, will, solidity, and self" only arise, good and evil are clearly presented, and the original nature must not be lost - the conscience is not ignorant. If we do not need to compromise the meaning due to words and scrutinize the words, we should see that Yangming's theory is far inherited from Mencius, but it actually has some faults; if Taoism is inherited from Confucius and Yan, it is not inevitable. Otherwise, he only needs to say "It is an unknown thing, and its creatures are unpredictable", which is enough to cover the universe, and "the way of heaven and earth can be explained in one sentence", so there is no need to spend a lot of energy to let right and wrong, existence and non-existence. , and it was all in pieces.
After the Confucian Han Dynasty, the more detailed the reasoning, the farther the road went. Why is this so? Confucius said: "I know what is wrong with the way! Those who know will go beyond it, and those who do not know will fall short!"
