2. "Wenshan City Wall" is located on Lianhua Mountain in the north of Yanping District, Nanping City, Fujian. The old city wall is more than 5,000 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and about 3 meters high. The natural ridges are used as steep fortifications on the outside. , some sections are built with stones, and more are built with rammed earth, which is very spectacular.
3. After the site was reforested and roads were opened, it was severely damaged. Most of the ground surface no longer exists, but the underground wall foundation still exists. After Wen Tianxiang arrived in Nanjianzhou in early July 1276, he began to prepare for the construction of the city wall in this area.
4. Because the Yuan army’s land invasion from the south must pass through the official road in the north of the city, building the city wall became a top priority. 5. Fortifications were built day and night, and people near and far took action upon hearing the news. They had money and strength to contribute, which shows the high enthusiasm of the people at that time to resist the Yuan Dynasty.
