King Lemuel’s words were the true words his mother taught him.
My son, the son born in my womb, the son I made a wish for, how should I teach you?
Do not give your energy to women, and do not behave in a way that corrupts the king.
Lemuel, it is not fitting for a king to drink wine. The prince said that strong drink was not fit for purpose there either.
Lest you drink it, you will forget the law and confuse the rights and wrongs of all the poor.
Give strong drink to those who are dying. Give sake to those who work hard.
Let him drink, and he will forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
You should speak up for the mute (or those who cannot distinguish themselves) and avenge all those who are lonely.
Open your mouth and judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Who can find a virtuous woman? She is worth far more than pearls.
Her husband will have no lack of benefit if his heart trusts in her.
She has done her husband no harm in her life.
She seeks wool and linen, and works with her hands willingly.
She is like a merchant ship carrying grain from afar.
She got up before dawn and gave food to those in the house. Distribute the work to your maids.
If she wants a field, she buys it. Plant a vineyard with the profit of your hands.
She has girded her waist with strength and made her arms strong.
She feels that what she is doing is beneficial, and her lamp never goes out all night long.
She holds the twisting rod in her hand. Hand-handled spinning wheel.
She opens her hand to help the poor and extends her hand to help the poor.
She did not worry about her family because of the snow, because the whole family was dressed in scarlet.
She made herself embroidered blankets, and her clothes were of fine linen and purple cloth.
Her husband sat at the city gate with the elders of the country, and was known to everyone.
She made linen garments and sold them. He also sold the belt to merchants.
Power and dignity are her clothes. She smiled as she thought about the future.
She speaks with wisdom. The law of mercy is on her tongue.
She observes housework and does not eat idle food.
Her children stood up and called her blessed. Her husband also praised her,
saying, "There are many talented and virtuous women, but you are the only one who surpasses them all."
Beauty is false. Beauty is frivolous. But the woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
May she enjoy what she gets from the operation. Let her work glorify her at the city gate.
