Flowers in the morning and gathering in the evening was written in 1926, which is the only collection of essays written by Lu Xun.

In p>1925, when Lu Xun was a university lecturer in Beijing, he was attacked and excluded by the rumors of the so-called "gentleman" for supporting the student movement.

in p>1926, the Beiyang warlord government shot and killed progressive students, creating the "March 18th" tragedy. Lu Xun wrote a series of articles such as "In Memory of Liu Hezhen", enthusiastically supported the students' just struggle and accused the Beiyang warlord government of cruelty. As a result, he was wanted by the authorities and had to take refuge in Xiamen.

from February to November, 1926, Mr. Lu Xun wrote 1 articles: Dogs, Cats and Rats, A Chang and Shan Hai Jing, Twenty-four Filial Pieties, Wu Cang Hui, Impermanence, From Herbal Garden to three pools mirroring the moon, Father's Disease, Notes, Mr. Fujino and Fan Ainong.

The first five articles were written in Beijing, and the last five articles were written in Xiamen. They were published in Mangyuan bimonthly, with the total title of "Reviving the Past".

In May p>1927, when the collection was completed, Mr. Lu Xun changed his name to Morning Flowers and Evening Picking, which means that flowers are picked up in the morning and evening. Here, Mr. Lu Xun recalled people and events in childhood, adolescence and youth, and made a small introduction. In July, he wrote a postscript, with 12 articles. The book was published by Beijing Weiming Society in 1928.
