After participating in Teacher Zhou’s workshop, I gained two things, one is the teaching level, and the other is the emotional level. First of all, my teaching ideas have become clearer. I have felt exhausted for a long time, and I have lost the quality and soul of teaching to members, and I am very anxious! Now that inspiration strikes, such as practicing the Sun Salutation sequence, you will pay more attention to your inner feelings! The flow of breath! Completely subverting previous perceptions.
Secondly, I have "inner healing" a lot. Teacher Zhou’s style is very “casual” and “casual”, hahaha. This "state" had a subtle influence on me, and I started not to control or deliberately change it. I was like a bystander, observing my life, practice, and the fluctuations of my inner consciousness, and just followed it! Now I no longer compete with myself, I can express my emotions and thoughts calmly, my heart is open O(∩_∩)O
#Classes will start from January 1-5, 2019, registration is now open ...
Am I suitable to learn "Ashtanga"?
Question: Ashtanga is difficult and is it only suitable for “high-level practitioners”?
Zhou: ? In fact, Ashtanga is the simplest practice. Many people have misunderstandings when they see that the postures shown in books or videos are difficult. In fact, it does not have to be as difficult as the videos and pictures. Pattabhi Joyce often emphasized that everyone has his own Vinyasa (the connection of breath and movement) without any restrictions and can be practiced by enthusiasts at any stage.
Question: How do you understand the concept of "Ashtanga exercises partial muscle strength"?
Zhou: What does Ashtanga practice? Its essence is to practice the flow of energy. It is best if your muscles are not involved. People are in a relaxed and natural state when practicing. Use "relaxed force" to practice. Beginners often cannot "let the muscles relax" "What should I do? At first, maybe 99% of the muscles are involved. If you do it another hundred times, it may become 90%. If you do it another hundred times, it may be 80% and gradually decrease.
The initial number of each asana It is only after you have become familiar with this posture 300 times that you can feel the effect of this posture on you. When you practice it casually, you will return to a "natural state". "The power of relaxation" appeared.
