This sentence was written by Julius Caesar when he sent a letter to the Senate on August 2, 47 BC, in which he wrote: "VENIVIDIVICI" (I come, I see, I conquer). This is all the information in that letter. The reason was that Julius Caesar completely defeated Farnak II near the city of Zela (now in Turkey).
