Music learning process
Growing up in Taichung, I was deeply impressed by the traditional music of Taiwan Province Province and deeply rooted in my heart, which influenced me to have a high interest in music art. From 65438 to 0964, I was successfully admitted to the National Taiwan Province Art College (now converted into Taiwan Province Art University) and studied the traditional music of China under Sun, Zhuang and others. 1969 after graduating from the art institute, after four years of turning and thinking, I made up my mind 1973 to join Austria and go to the prestigious Vienna national university for further study, majoring in musicology and minoring in western art history, and studying under professors such as O. Wessely and W. Pass. After ten years' hard work, he finally got his doctorate in musicology from Vienna State University at 1983.
Vienna returned to China to serve the education department.
In the same year of receiving his doctorate, Liu Qibao was immediately hired as a full-time teacher in the Music Department of the National Academy of Arts (now transformed into the National Taipei University of the Arts), and returned to Taiwan Province to work until he retired in 2006, where he worked continuously for 23 years. During this period, he also worked as a part-time teacher in the Music Department of Taiwan Province Provincial Normal University and the Music Department of Art College, offering courses such as western music history and music aesthetics, and educating countless peaches and plums. 65438-0988, took over as director of music department and director of art research institute (acting for one year, officially taking over for six years). These seven years of administrative duties just crossed the transition period from Luzhou school building to Guandu new campus in 199 1, which made Vivienne Liu one of the most important core figures in promoting the business of the school music department. In addition to teaching at school, he also exerted influence in the music industry. He has served as a music member of the Cultural Construction Committee of the Executive Yuan and a music critic of the National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center.
Classical Music Missionaries in Taiwan Province Province
After Liu returned to Taiwan, on the one hand, he joined the ranks of university music education, opened and taught the core courses of the music department, which provided a brand-new vision and historical view for the students of the music department. On the other hand, he also devoted himself to the promotion of western classical music art and social education, and became the first person in Taiwan Province Province to actively participate in music lectures after receiving his doctorate in musicology in Europe. From the perspective of a philharmonic, he integrated into the broad vision and professional views of music historians, and created one philharmonic appreciation lecture after another in a simple way with his unique smooth and cordial expression. The content he shared is both deep and broad, which leads all listeners to understand and think about the essence of classical music art and deeply attracts the love and support of philharmonic people from all walks of life. Over the years, his lectures have spread all over the major cultural halls and institutions in Taiwan Province Province, including Hong Education and Culture Foundation, Taipei Social Education Center (now called Taiwan), Catholic Cultural and Educational Institute, Taian Hospital, Zhongzheng Cultural Center, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and China (Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Shanghai Jiaotong University). , focusing on "music lectures" or "art appreciation".
Set up a music appreciation foundation
In the spring of 2003, after a routine speech in Vivienne Liu, a musician sitting in the audience paid special tribute backstage and said with emotion, why didn't you have a chance to listen to such a touching music speech when you were young? So he expressed his willingness to set up a music education foundation to promote classical music appreciation education so that it is no longer the patent of a few people. This philharmonic is Mr. You Zhaoming, an entrepreneur. So, in June 2004, Vivienne Liu and this group of folk musicians, under the leadership of entrepreneurs, jointly established the "POCO A POCO Consortium Enterprise Music Education Foundation" and have served as the music director ever since. With the aim of "improving the music literacy of the whole people, leaving the universal value of artistic aesthetics in people's hearts and becoming a solid backing for creating high-quality culture", Liu and the Foundation have continuously held lectures on music appreciation and released DVDs, so that the public can easily step into the classical music hall step by step, which is also the spirit of the Foundation's (gradual) naming with the Italian music term "poco-a-poco". After retiring from National Taipei University of the Arts in 2006, Vivienne Liu devoted himself to actively promoting western classical music and art appreciation. From 20 1 1, 1 1, Vivienne Liu and Leshang began to extend their tentacles to China, and held music lectures twice a year. So far, they have been invited to give dozens of lectures in important coastal cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Invited guests include campus lectures from Peking University, Renmin University, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, and invited lectures from China enterprises, which have made outstanding contributions to the music art and aesthetic education in Taiwan Province Province and the Chinese world.
