Definition of words
Cyber violence refers to the violent behavior of netizens on the Internet, which is an extension of social violence on the Internet.
Cyber violence is different from violence in real life, but it hurts and slanders people with the help of the virtual space of the network. The publishers of these abusive remarks, pictures and videos are often netizens of a certain scale, because some events posted on the Internet violate human public morality and traditional values and touch the bottom line of human morality. These languages, words, pictures and videos all have the basic characteristics of malice, acerbity, cruelty and violence, which have gone beyond the normal scope of commenting on these events. They not only attacked and maliciously slandered the parties to the incident, but also transferred this harmful behavior from the virtual network to the real society, conducted a "human flesh search" on the parties to the incident, and disclosed their real identities, names, photos, life details and other personal privacy to the public. These remarks and practices not only seriously affected the mental state of the parties involved in the incident, but also undermined their work, study and life order, and even caused serious consequences. In form
(1) Cyberviolence in the form of written language
In real life, it is normal for people to express their anger through verbal violence when they are angry, bored and emotionally unstable. However, in the real society, the direct communication between people is bound by morality and ethics, which will more or less inhibit the emergence of this way of venting. The network society is a virtual society, but it is easier to break out on the network than in reality, and language violence occurs through words. In Tianya Forum, Baidu Post Bar, Weibo, Tencent News Review and other websites with large traffic, written language violence can be seen everywhere. In any cyber violence, it is not difficult to find that there must be a lot of written violence. Vulgar and vicious offensive language has promoted the spread of cyber violence and increased its harm.
(2) Cyber violence in the form of picture information.
Image information violence is not uncommon in cyber violence. There have been many such examples in China, such as tampering with photos uploaded by others online, insulting, slandering and attacking by tampering with photos.
