The opening animation of Napoleon's battle is Napoleon's self-narration or self-bragging. The result of my listening translation:
My enemies are many, my equals are none. In the shade of olive trees, they
said Italy could never be conquered. In the land of pharoahs and kings,
they said Egypt could never be humbled. In the realm of forest and
snow, they said russia could never be tamed. Now they say nothing. They
fear me, like a force of nature, a dealer in thunder and death.I say I am
Napoleon, I am emperor...Burn it
I am invincible. Under the olive trees (Translator's Note: This refers to Italy, because it is a specialty), they say that Italy can never be conquered. In the land of the Pharaohs, they said Egypt would never be defeated. In the land of forests and blizzards (Translator's Note: referring to Tsarist Russia), they say that Russia will never surrender. Now they had nothing to say (for Napoleon had done it all). They fear me as they fear the thunder of nature and the power of death. I am Napoleon. I am the emperor. Burn it!
The last sentence "burn it" has a specific meaning. The dilapidated British battleship stranded on the beach at the end has the words HMS Victory, which is the flagship of Nelson, the British national hero and naval god of war. The road sign under Napoleon's feet reads 54 miles from London, symbolizing Napoleon's defeat of the British royal family. The fleet successfully landed on the British Isles. Historically, although Napoleon was unmatched in land warfare, his admirals never defeated the British Royal Fleet, let alone landed in the UK. The ending of the animation was only the imagination of the game developers. After all, the game is Napoleon's Total War. With the player's exquisite operation, it is not impossible to change Napoleon's fate in the game.
