When you plant green rice in the field with your hands, when you lower your head, you can see the sky in the water?

A pure heart is the way (rice), and retreat is actually forward.

It is a wonderful picture of rice-planting in the countryside, every sentence is true, and every sentence is inseparable from life. The so-called road is not far away from people, this is what it means.

We are accustomed to making continuous progress and rarely think of "taking a step back", but we are deeply wise.

Budai monks live in Hangzhou. They often go around bare-chested and bare-backed. They put the food they received for alms in a bag, carry it behind their backs, and travel around. When he passed away, he once said, "Maitreya is the true Maitreya. He has incarnated into hundreds of billions of people. He shows it to people all the time, but people don't even know it." Later generations believed that he was the reincarnation of Maitreya. The prototype of the smiling and pot-bellied Maitreya Buddha statue we see now comes from the Budai monk of the Tang Dynasty.
