Wuping County is located in the southwest of Fujian Province, with the latitude of 24 47'-25 29' and the longitude of115 51'-16 23'. The total area is 2635.2 square kilometers. At the end of 2003, the registered population was 365,000, including 68,600 non-agricultural people. Wuping dialect is a popular Hakka dialect in western Fujian.
