People with the surname of Xing include Fu Xingzhi, the prince of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and Xing Xun, a man of literary and military skills in the Ming Dynasty; the surname of Lian includes Lian Cheng, a famous general of Qi in the Spring and Autumn Period; and Lian Shunbin, a famous scholar of the Song Dynasty; and the surname of Yan is Fu Shengyan of Confucius in the Spring and Autumn Period The three surnames of Hui and Yan Zhenqing, the famous calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty, all represent famous sages, so they can be said to have "different characters but the same family".
