Xinglin is synonymous with the field of Chinese medicine; Xingtan is said to be the place where Confucius gathered disciples to give lectures, which generally refers to the place where disciples gave lectures, and now refers to the education field.

Dong Feng, the originator of Xinglin culture, is as famous as Zhang Zhongjing in Nanyang and Hua Tuo in Qiaoxian County, and is also known as the "Jian 'an Three Magical Doctors" in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Dong Feng's deeds are widely celebrated among the people, and Dong Feng's Xinglin spirit is regarded as a model by the industry.

"Xinglin" has become synonymous with Chinese traditional medicine. Since ancient times, doctors have been proud to be among the "people in Xinglin", doctors have taken "Xinglin medical records" as their collections, medical skills have been praised as "the master of Xinglin", and medical ethics have been honored as "Xinglin is warm in spring".

Xingtan is now a Confucius Temple building. The Apricot Altar was built to commemorate Confucius' lecture. When Daofu Kong, the forty-fifth grandson of Confucius, supervised the renovation of the Confucius Temple, he moved the main hall backward, removed the ground as an altar, and planted apricots around it, which was named "Apricot Altar".
