Lin Zexu, who has been diligent and studious since he was a child, once wrote a reading couplet to encourage himself - "The young man in the family has no ground to build the building, but the lights left behind are only known by God." The literal meaning is easy to understand. Some people think that although the second couplet is well done, it is a bit forced. What is meant by "God knows what's left of the case". It wasn't until someone connected this sentence with the raging flames of his destruction of opium in Humen that he felt that there seemed to be some omen in it. It turns out that the "light after crime" that Lin Zexu has cherished since he was a child was used to do an earth-shattering event and realize his patriotic ambition of "living and dying for the benefit of the country, rather than avoiding it for the sake of misfortunes and blessings." On September 20, 2000, on the occasion of the 215th anniversary of the birth of this national hero, the "Lin Zexu Star" monument was unveiled in Zuoyingsi, Fuzhou City, where Lin Zexu was born, implying that the "Lin Zexu Star" rose from here.

This is a very strong proof of the three most critical words in the reading couplet: "God knows"!
