There is a famous saying by Distohui: A bad teacher teaches people the truth, while a good teacher teaches people to discover the truth.
Distowei was a famous democratic educator in Germany in the 19th century. He was born in the family of a judge in Siegen, Westphalia. He has been interested in nature since he was a child, and likes to walk in the fields and woods, and often talks with farmers. He entered the University of Herpen in 1808, where he studied mathematics and history. A year later, he transferred to the University of Tübingen, where he graduated in 1811 and received a doctorate in philosophy in 1817.
The basis of Distohui's educational views are three principles: automaticity, following nature and following culture. He declared that the main task of education is to discover initiative, and the purpose of initiative is also the purpose of education, that is, "the thoughts of truth, goodness and beauty, which are the ultimate purpose of life." Automatic knowledge aims at truth, automatic feeling aims at beauty, and automatic will aims at good. Following nature means that education should follow the natural development process of human beings and take into account the age characteristics and personality characteristics of students. Following culture means that while paying attention to the nature of children, it advocates raising children to the level of modern human culture and believes that education should adapt to the requirements of changing social life.
