Bao Gong was born in Bao Zheng (AD 999- 1062) and Hefei, Luzhou (now Hefei, Anhui). His father, Bao Yi, was a doctor of the three dynasties and was posthumously named assistant minister of punishments. Bao Gong was famous for his filial piety to his parents when he was a teenager.
Integrity and honesty. In Song Renzong Tiansheng five years, namely AD 1027, he entered the ranks of Jinshi at the age of 28. He was first a judge of Dali Temple and later a magistrate of Jianchang (now Yongxiu, Jiangxi).
