Does Patriarch Bodhi really love monkeys, or is he entrusted by some people to teach monkeys skills? In fact, we can get the result after a little analysis. Did you find that Sun Wukong has never been a monkey again since he became a monk? I have never found the Patriarch Bodhi, and he has violated the Patriarch's teachings more than once and leaked the information about his studies at Fangcun Mountain. In fact, this is all caused by Sun Wukong's dissatisfaction with the Patriarch Bodhi. So in Sun Wukong's eyes, how much has the Patriarch Bodhi deceived the monkeys? Going back? The Character of Patriarch Bodhi

We now have a famous saying that character determines destiny, and this is also true in Journey to the West. So what help does Patriarch Bodhi have on the monkey's character? A pot of porridge can only say that "help" is simply too great, and there is no basis for it. Let's look at the second chapter of the original work and there is this sentence:

The Monkey King said again: "I have no sex. If people scold me, I won't be upset." "If you hit me, I won't be angry. It's just a courtesy. I will have no sex in my life."

Before learning the art, Sun Wukong had no temper. When people scolded him and hit him, he not only didn't get angry. Instead, he gave the other party luggage. This state was brought about in the mother's womb. It is no exaggeration to say that it is similar to the Buddha in the world of Journey to the West. After Sun Wukong returned from learning skills, he slashed the demon king of the world with his sword, caused trouble in the underworld, set foot in the Dragon Palace, caused havoc in the heavenly palace, etc. These were all because his character changed and he became arrogant and domineering, and he easily caught fire.

When did he start to change? It was obvious that he changed while practicing in Fangcun Mountain, so Bodhi Patriarch reshaped his character. Tiangang and Disha

Some friends have always thought that Disha 72 is more powerful than Tiangang 36. Yi Guo Porridge does not think so. Since ancient times in our country, Tiangang has been higher than Disha. Both are one of the four famous works. In "Water Margin", the Tiangang star obviously has a higher status than the Earthly Evil Star, so Patriarch Bodhi misled Sun Wukong from the beginning. The 72 Earthly Evil Transformations were more numerous than the 36 Earthly Evil Stars, so the monkey chose the 72 Earthly Evil Stars.

The reason why he did this is also easy to understand. If Sun Wukong learns the Tiangang transformation, it will be more harmful to the heaven. In the future, the cost for Tathagata to surrender will be higher. When he learns the scriptures in the future, To stop Sun Wukong and find some demons with stronger abilities, the entire cost will go up, so we simply trick the monkey into learning low-level skills so that we can deal with him in the future.

The somersault cloud of Patriarch Bodhi

On the surface, the somersault cloud seems to be very powerful. A single somersault can cover a hundred and eighty thousand miles. However, this is not the most powerful flying technique of Patriarch Bodhi. It was just an escape technique that he deliberately created that was suitable for Sun Wukong. Yiguocoru believed that Patriarch Bodhi had something more powerful but he was unwilling to teach it to monkeys. Although this somersault cloud flew very fast, its shortcomings were also very prominent. Later, While studying for sutras, Sun Wukong also came to his senses. In Chapter 42 of the original book, Sun Wukong begged Guanyin Bodhisattva to surrender Red Boy. There is this description:

The traveler kowtowed and said: "The disciple dare not perform it in front of the Bodhisattva. If you use the somersault cloud and expose your body, I'm afraid the Bodhisattva will blame me for being disrespectful."

Did you see that when he uses the somersault cloud, his body will be exposed, which is really unsightly, and this is very special. To limit the development of Sun Wukong, it is no wonder that the Jade Emperor did not give him the real treatment of the Monkey King. Just imagine that a god who is on an equal footing with the Jade Emperor would expose his body when he performs flying skills. How unsightly it is. Therefore, I believe that after Sun Wukong becomes the fighting Buddha, he will not often use somersault clouds, especially when others are around. It is really ridiculous for a Buddha to use this kind of escape technique.

The farewell message of Patriarch Bodhi

Whenever something happens to an apprentice, the master will usually say this: The world is dangerous, so be careful. If you encounter difficulties, remember to give the name of the master. It is really not possible. If so, ask a teacher for help. But this is not the case with Patriarch Bodhi. Let’s review his parting words:

The Patriarch said: “If you go, you will have bad consequences.

No matter how you cause trouble and commit crimes, you are not allowed to say that you are my apprentice. If you say even half a word, I will know it. I will peel off the skin and file the bones of you, a hozen, and banish your soul to the secluded place. I will teach you that you will never be able to stand up again! ”

Obviously, the words of Patriarch Bodhi have nothing to do with the relationship between master and disciple. They completely sever all relations with Sun Wukong. This is not like what a teacher said to his students.

Master Bodhi

To sum up, Patriarch Bodhi must have been entrusted by someone to teach the monkey Kung Fu. He did not really want the monkey to succeed. After being suppressed by the Tathagata for 500 years, Sun Wukong has matured a lot mentally. So even if he encounters difficulties, he will not go to Patriarch Bodhi, because Patriarch Bodhi has actually tricked the monkey.
