Abstract: Honesty is a moral category and a virtue respected by the society, but in reality this virtue is getting farther and farther away from us. As a history teacher in a vocational school, I hope to do my bit to improve this situation. In history teaching, we try our best to guide students to pay attention to, feel and practice honesty with vivid historical stories and characters, and internalize honesty into their own spiritual light.
What is "honesty"? Zhu, a Neo-Confucianism scholar in the Song Dynasty, said: "Honest people are true and innocent. Affirming "sincerity" is a virtue that is true but not deceitful. In Xiu De, to ask people to do things, they must follow the example of heaven and be true. Tell the truth, do practical things and oppose fraud and hypocrisy. Shuowen Jiezi holds that "people's words are faithful" and "faithfulness" not only requires people to be honest and reliable in speaking, but also requires people to be honest and reliable in doing things. The basic connotation of "faith" is to keep promises, match words with deeds, be honest and trustworthy. Honesty is a good character that everyone must possess. A man of integrity shows that he is a civilized man. Honest people are welcome everywhere; People will ignore the existence of dishonest people; Therefore, each of us should be honest. Honesty is the way to be a man and the foundation of being a man.
Honesty is a virtue praised by society. However, in reality, this virtue is getting farther and farther away from us, and a country that values its promise is troubled by the crisis of good faith. In recent years, Sanlu's "tainted milk powder" incident, many celebrities' "fraudulent donations", "clenbuterol" incident, "dyeing steamed bread", "gutter oil" and "leather milk" incident have occurred frequently, which makes people feel that the door to honesty is getting farther and farther. China Youth Daily revealed that China paid nearly 600 billion yuan every year for dishonesty. After the "Dyed Steamed Bread" incident, Premier Wen said sadly that these vicious food safety incidents are enough to show how serious the lack of integrity and moral decline have reached.
In life, more and more people lament that everyone has friends, but they can't trust them. In the workplace, it is difficult to make intimate friends, and once there is a conflict of interest, turn your face immediately; Some so-called good friends in life can only "share happiness" but not "share weal and woe". If you are in trouble, others may hide for various reasons; Sometimes the more familiar a friend is, the easier it is to be deceived. Many people do pyramid schemes and other things from "acquaintances". Zhang Jianxin, deputy director of the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, pointed out that the phenomenon of "killing ripe" marks the lowest point of social trust. What's more, in order to compete for inheritance and real estate, they turned against their biological parents, brothers and sisters and reduced the trust between people to freezing point.
"Honesty" is the foundation of a person's existence, an important virtue to maintain interpersonal communication, and a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation through the ages. "Call for honesty, save the crisis of honesty, and start from me." As a history teacher in secondary vocational school, what can I do for it?
As a teacher in a vocational school, facing the secondary vocational students who are about to enter the society, I hope that I can treat history teaching from the original meaning of human development and education, and strive to make students perceive society and life in vivid history, and learn from it the supply that is conducive to their healthy development, so as to be a person with sound personality and integrity.
First of all, history teaching has the advantage of cultivating students' honest personality.
(A) history teaching depends on historical knowledge. Many historians of past dynasties have left many true, objective and scientific historical knowledge to future generations. These historical knowledge reflecting the achievements of material civilization and spiritual civilization created by human beings is vast and colorful, involving all fields of human life, from politics and economy to culture, art and even customs and people's feelings. It shows a broad historical vision, contains rich humanistic materials and accumulates profound human experience. Therefore, history teaching has unique advantages in cultivating students' honest personality-authenticity, credibility and touching.
(2) History teaching requires students to treat historical knowledge realistically from the viewpoints of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, form a profound understanding of historical knowledge, make their own explanations and judgments on related historical phenomena, form their own opinions, and use these knowledge to solve problems with certain complexity. This attitude of seeking truth from facts also provides favorable conditions for history teaching to cultivate students' honest personality.
(3) Vocational schools offer history courses, which get rid of the fetters of "all for the college entrance examination". Let us think about history teaching from the perspective of education and human development: how to make students "realize the development and wisdom of human thinking" by studying history, and how to make students "realize the inheritance and development of human thoughts and spirits and the formation of personality" by studying history. Therefore, it is feasible to cultivate students' honest personality through history teaching.
Second, the strategy of cultivating students' honest personality in history teaching
(A) Taking history as a mirror and thinking about honesty
Thinking is the foundation of wisdom. In teaching, the author relies on real historical knowledge to improve students' historical thinking ability and enhance their experience of honest personality. History is rich and all-encompassing, and historical figures and events that can be used for "honesty education" can be singled out. In class, the author will create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for students to concentrate on meditation and appreciate these "historical wisdom". For example, when introducing Sima Qian and Historical Records to students, the author asked students to think while reading relevant materials: What kind of evaluation did future generations give to Historical Records? Why is there such an evaluation? What impressed you most about Sima Qian? After thinking and discussion, the students expressed their opinions ―― Historical Records is the greatest historical work in ancient China, which Mr. Lu Xun called "the swan song of historians, a blank poem" Li Sao ". The reason for such a high evaluation is that Sima Qian spent his whole life's energy, painstaking efforts and great physical and mental pain to write this masterpiece that shines in history. Sima Qian's attitude in writing historical records is rigorous and serious, and the biggest feature is the record. Every historical event and every historical figure he wrote has undergone a lot of investigation and study, and the historical facts have been carefully and repeatedly checked. Even in the face of the fault of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Sima Qian did not hide, exposed and criticized mercilessly. Sima Qian's honest spirit of seeking truth from facts and straightforward writing style is the most touching.
For this conclusion of the students, the author gave full affirmation and sincere evaluation, and further put forward: Yes, it is these historians who wrote history with honesty and integrity, leaving precious spiritual wealth for our future generations. Honesty has always been a fine tradition of our Chinese nation and has always been cherished by the world. I hope everyone can follow the example of these admirable historical figures and "learn the truth honestly". In the process of thinking and understanding, students collide with historical figures, so as to truly appreciate the essence of history and feel the appeal of the personality charm of historical figures.
(2) Take history as a mirror and stress honesty.
In order to make students better understand honesty, the author requires students to collect famous sayings and historical stories about honesty in teaching. Choose the most inspiring and favorite quotations from the collected quotations and write them on the title page of the textbook. Read and read these quotations before each class, and share your experience with other students. In the students' textbooks, the author saw a series of famous honesty sayings that contained philosophy and triggered the voice of * * * *: "Promise a thousand dollars, promise a thousand dollars." . -China proverb ""Without honesty, there is no dignity. Cicero and "the most important thing in interpersonal relationships is sincerity, and it must come from the heart." Honesty is an invincible sword in society, and you should take it with you wherever you go. -San Mao " ...
The school holds a student skills competition every year, and "speaking" is a basic skill for preschool education students. Taking the school skills competition as a platform, a historical story speech contest with honesty as the theme was held. The emotional speeches of the contestants showed us a touching picture of honesty in history: Ceng Zi killed the pig and taught his son, Ji Bu kept his promise, and Soong Ching Ling made a promise ... In this historical story, in this historical figure, we saw a * * * same character-honesty. After the game, some students said with deep feelings: "After listening to these historical stories, I realized that honesty is really important for a person's development. Those who didn't care about this before will try to cultivate their own integrity and make themselves an honest person. "
(3) Take history as a mirror and argue honestly.
"A husband's debater must clearly distinguish between right and wrong, judge chaos, distinguish similarities and differences, examine the authenticity of names, show interests, and decide doubts." In history teaching, the author seized some natural opportunities in class and led students to have a series of debates on "honesty". In the fierce ideological collision between you and me, the light of wisdom flashed and the understanding and understanding of "sincerity" deepened.
(4) Take history as a mirror and be honest with each other.
"What you get from paper is superficial, and you never know what you have to do." Therefore, while cultivating students' honesty awareness, the author also guides students to practice honesty in their daily life and study, so as to truly integrate knowledge with practice and internalize honesty into their own personality.
In the teaching practice, the activity of "striving to be an honest teenager" was carried out in the class, taking the ancestors who had been honest in history as examples, vigorously promoting their spirit of honesty, encouraging students to start from themselves and small things around them, enhancing their sentiment, shaping their souls and putting honesty into action with honesty. After a while, my classmates gathered around me, like exploding a pot: "Teacher, even if I didn't have a traffic police, I wouldn't run a red light now." "I'm doing my homework now, and I don't want to peek at the exam."
I am punctual now and I am not late. Through a real example that happened to her, Xiao Yuan told her classmates about the role of honesty in communication. In the current popular online shopping, she gave the merchant an extra dress when she traded with the merchant, thus making a good friend. Looking at the smiling faces of the students like flowers, I can't help but feel deeply: if we live in a society where everyone stresses honesty and integrity is everywhere, what a happy thing it will be.
The ancients said "knowing and doing are one". In the face of such a real and vivid story, the students deeply realized the meaning of Confucius' saying that "if you don't believe, you won't stand", and they understood that being honest and trustworthy, even practicing everything all the time, will surely win friendship and respect.
Third, the principles that should be grasped in cultivating students' honest personality in history teaching.
(A) equality and harmony between teachers and students
Honesty education is to train students to be honest with others and become a person with honest personality. Therefore, as a teacher who implements education, he should first be an honest person, who can treat every student and his work sincerely, gain the trust and respect of students, let students "learn from teachers" and achieve good results in honest education. In history teaching, the author strives to create an equal and harmonious relationship between teachers and students, so that students are willing to learn the wisdom of history in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, speak boldly, dare to question, be diligent in thinking, respect each other and understand each other. This equal and harmonious relationship between teachers and students is not only a kind of honesty relationship, but also the basis of honesty education.
(2) Based on real historical facts
Honesty education is to teach people to seek truth and justice. The historical facts on which its teaching is based must also be true and reliable, in order to have convincing authority and justice, to become a model and example of seeking truth, to shock students from the depths of their hearts, to establish the concept of honesty and internalize honesty into their own personality. In history teaching, the author often reminds himself to update his knowledge and teaching ideas in time, show students the real history and himself, carry forward the spirit of honesty and cultivate students' honest personality.
(C) Pay attention to natural generation
Honesty education should implement honesty and become students' conscious behavior. In teaching, we should pay attention to spring breeze and rain, which will naturally form. Suhomlinski said: "If teachers don't try their best to make students feel high and excited, they are eager to impart knowledge, and emotional mental work will bring fatigue;" Without exultation and interest in learning, it will become a heavy burden for students. "This kind of" tired "and" heavy "teaching will inevitably be rejected by students. Even if the knowledge you impart is more important and the analysis is more profound, students will be indifferent. In history teaching, the author consciously cultivates and carries forward his "educational wisdom", leads students to feel the grandeur of history with their knowledge, emotion, experience, thinking and interest, enlightens the wisdom of life, cultivates honest personality, and internalizes honesty into the light in their hearts.
