It is not new to talk about an indomitable spirit of exploration with a human as the main body, but the director has excavated a more objective perspective, a father, husband and friend who are also ordinary people in life. In addition to his persistent and calm personality, the film also bases his achievements on the efforts and sacrifices of countless dream catchers, on the back of his wife who lost her husband, and on the people who have difficulties in life and pushed him to face them. As the film slowly enters the core, Commander Gao's interpretation of Armstrong becomes more and more silent and almost cold. Strong external pressure and "one-track mind" personality inspired him to work hard all the time. At the end of the film, when the spacecraft landed, the high commander's expression and several actions of turning off the alarm were reflected through the helmet, which made the audience feel his desperate belief at once. Without the preparation of the first two hours, Commander Gao's performance in this scene would not be very convincing. In other words, the whole movie meticulously depicts the characters, objectively presents the whole picture of the event, makes the story convincing, and every step of the story is solid.
On the other hand, the film does not emphasize that the significance of landing on the moon is above all else. The melancholy atmosphere of the whole movie, the slow expression of ambiguity, and the accusation that the man and the woman are just a group of big boys playing with toys when they lose their temper all show a humanistic criticism. Landing on the moon is of great significance to mankind, but the problems and pains brought about by such great efforts and sacrifices can not be ignored.
