Mr. Sun Yu is an expert in the study of Lu Xun. In recent years, he has made great achievements in this field. This book should be left over from Mr. Sun Yu's research. It is really interesting.
The book shadow of Mr. Lu Xun collected in the book is hard to see now. For readers, this book can undoubtedly feast their eyes. When I got the book, I just skipped the text and scanned the book. From these book shadows, we can get a glimpse of the binding style of an era, most of which are elegant and generous, which makes people unforgettable. In fact, it was not only Lu Xun's Shadow, but also many books at that time. Compared with those fancy covers now, I really don't remember which one has ever touched my heart.
Lu Xun is an inexhaustible topic, and many famous scholars have spent a lot of time studying him, his works and his affairs. Mr Xie Yong once wrote a novel and insightful article "Cultural Spirit in the Title of Publications". In that article, Xie Yong compared the names of the publications run by Hu Shi and Lu Xun. Inspired by this idea, I pay more attention to the title of Lu Xun's collected works in Lu Xun's Book Score. After my attention, I found that Lu Xun's novels, like the magazines he has run, are mostly symbolic nouns, which are more abstract than concrete, such as vagrancy and graves. Compared with contemporary titles, such as Hu Shi's Attempt Collection, it lacks a bright and peaceful harmony.
I remember Han Shishan, a writer in Shaanxi, once said: reading Lu Xun's books is a long temper, while reading Hu Shi's books is a long learning. I am very serious about this, but what interests me is: why?
Lu Xun lost his childhood, suffered from the coldness of the world and saw the changes of the world. These experiences are reflected in Lu Xun's words and thoughts and even his later experiences. I think this embodiment is: look at the world coldly.
1928 or so, Lu Xun is in Shanghai. At that time, there was a collective "encirclement and suppression" of Lu Xun in the Shanghai literary world, in which Cheng accused Lu Xun of "leisure, leisure and leisure in the third place" in "Completing Our Literary Revolution". 1932, "three episodes of leisure" was published, and Lu Xun bluntly said in the preface: "Imitate me with marksmanship." It was also at that time that a Shanghai writer made some comments on Lu Xun's accent. Lu Xun was naturally dissatisfied, so he simply compiled 5 1 articles written by 1932 to 1933 into "Gathering Southern Accents and Northern Accents". ...
These stories were imitated by later generations intentionally or unintentionally, which, I think, is the reason for the long temper. Lu Xun sees the world with a pair of "cold eyes", but his arms are full of "enthusiasm". He is determined to awaken the people with words. However, apart from this "enthusiasm", Lu Xun was desperate. He doesn't believe in any "golden world" in the future, so he doesn't want to build anything for this society that disappoints him. He said himself that he was just "making trouble in the dark". It was this "despair" that made him see through the essence of the old society for thousands of years: cannibalism. As soon as he made a move, his writing was destructive to the decaying old society. This "despair" and "enthusiasm" was inadvertently written in the preface of one of his collections: "If an iron house has no windows, it is extremely difficult to decompose, and many people sleep in it, they will soon suffocate, but they will go from lethargy to death, and they will not feel the sorrow of death. Since you are shouting, you have awakened several sober people and made this unfortunate minority suffer irreparable dying pain. Do you think you deserve them?
However, since several people have come up, you can't say that there is no hope of destroying this iron house.
Yes, although I have my own beliefs, when it comes to hope, I can't deny it, because hope lies in the future. I must not convince him of his so-called dispensability with my indispensable proof, so I finally promised him and made him make a fuss ... "
This kind of "enthusiasm" and "despair" is precisely the root of his "profundity", which later generations can't learn.
I noticed an interesting phenomenon, that is, many contemporary scholars engaged in Lu Xun's research were finally drowned in Lu Xun's huge shadow and lost themselves. I can't think about this problem repeatedly, so I finally have to deceive myself: people who realize that Lu Xun is "profound" lack "enthusiasm" or "despair"; Enthusiastic people may not be "desperate", nor may they realize Lu Xun's "profundity". Mr. Sun Yu believes that Lu Xun destroyed an old world and built a new one at the same time. However, this does not affect my pleasure in reading this book at all.
