Cai Yong
Cai Yong (132-192) was a poet and calligrapher of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The word Bojie. A native of Qixian County, Kaifeng. When he was young, he was learned and studied under the tutor Hu Guang. He likes vocabulary, numeracy, astronomy, and wonderful music. In the fourth year of Xiping (175), the scriptures had been removed from the Holy Land for a long time, and there were many errors in the writings. So, together with Tang Xidian, the general of the five sense organs, and Yang Ci, the Guanglu doctor, they submitted a petition to correct the writing of the Six Classics, and they were allowed by Emperor Ling. Cai Yong wrote the sutra on the stele and had craftsmen engrave it, and it was erected outside the Taixue Gate. It is known as the "Xiping Stone Sutra" in the world. When the monument was first erected, more than 1,000 vehicles of spectators and imitators filled the streets every day. Later, I saw a craftsman writing with a broom in Hongdumen, and I was inspired to create "Feibai" calligraphy. In the first year of Guanghe (178), he wrote a letter about the failure of the government, was framed, and was exiled to Shuofang. After being pardoned, he was on the run for more than 10 years because of the hatred of the eunuchs. In the sixth year of Zhongping (189), Emperor Ling died, and Dong Zhuo took over power. He was forced to serve as a censor, worshiped General Zuo Zhonglang, moved the capital to Chang'an from Emperor Xian, and was granted the title of Marquis of Gaoyang. In the third year of Chuping (192), Dong Zhuo was executed. Wang Yun suspected that Cai Yong had the intention of "huai Zhuo" and imprisoned him in prison. Zhang Pu of the Ming Dynasty compiled the Collection of Cai Zhonglang and handed it down to the world. ?
Cai Yan
The dates of Cai Yan’s birth and death are yet to be determined. A poet in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. The word Wenji. A native of Qixian County, Kaifeng. The daughter of Cai Yong. Erudite and talented, good at diction, good at music, and able to distinguish the sound of the piano. When he was a child, he had his hair cut and was exiled to Shuofang with his father. At the age of 16, he married Wei Zhongdao in Hedong Province. Her husband died without children and she returned to her mother's family. In the second year of Xingping (195), he was captured by Hu Qi and trapped in the southern Xiongnu for 12 years. He had two sons with King Zuo Xian. In the twelfth year of Jian'an (207), Cao Cao unified the Central Plains and sent envoys to redeem them with gold bis. Later, she married Dong Si, the captain of the army in the field, and her "Poem of Sorrow and Indignation" has been handed down to the world. According to legend, "Eighteen Beats of Hujia" was also his work. ?
Xue Juzheng
Xue Juzheng (912~981) was a minister and historian in the early Song Dynasty. Zi Ping. Kaifeng people. In the second year of Qingtai (935) in the later Tang Dynasty, he became a Jinshi. From the Jin Dynasty to the Zhou Dynasty, he became a bachelor of Hongwen Hall and a minister of the Ministry of Punishment. After the establishment of the Northern Song Dynasty, he moved to the Ministry of Household Affairs Minister. In the third year of Jianlong's reign (962), he was appointed Privy Councilor and was in charge of the national tribute examinations. During his tenure, he acted impartially and without favoritism. He was highly regarded by Taizu and was promoted to the rank of Minister of Political Affairs and Minister of Civil Service. In the fifth year of Kaibao's reign (972), he promoted three water and land transportation envoys in Huainan, Hunan, Lingnan and other provinces. He also judged the affairs of his subordinate ministers and supervised the compilation of national history and "History of the Five Dynasties". After completing the "History of the Five Dynasties", he was commended by Taizu and paid homage to his minister, Ping Zhangshi. At the beginning of the Taiping and the rejuvenation of the country, Zuopushe was added and he was awarded the bachelor's degree in Zhaowen Hall. Xue Juzheng loved reading, but could not stop writing because of his failure. After his death, his son compiled the manuscript into 30 volumes and presented it to the court. Taizong named it "Wenhui Collection". The 150 volumes of "History of the Five Dynasties" (i.e. "History of the Old Five Dynasties") edited by him are rich in content and rich in information.
