Comrade Lei Feng once said, "We should maintain high standards in our work." In other words, people should never be satisfied with their jobs.
We should not be satisfied with our study. Each of us should learn more knowledge. The French philosopher Descartes once said, "The more you study, the more ignorant you find yourself." Only by continuous learning can we understand profound knowledge and truth and become useful talents. But if you are satisfied with what you have learned, you will give up halfway and get nothing.
We should not be satisfied with scientific research. As we all know, Newton, a great British scientist, was brilliant when he was young. He founded Newton's laws of mechanics in the first half of his life, which laid the foundation for the development of physics and greatly promoted the development of other science and technology. But in his later years, he was satisfied with himself, stopped studying deeply, believed in theology and hesitated. Therefore, the rest of his life was eclipsed.
On the contrary, the British physicist Joule carefully photographed the calorimeter in order to determine the relationship between heat and work. After many experiments, his experimental results are quite accurate, but he is not satisfied with his achievements. In 40 years, Yi * * has conducted more than 400 experiments. The value he got remained unchanged for 30 years, which is extremely rare in physics. Chekhov famously said, "Dissatisfaction with oneself is the fundamental characteristic of any talented person." It can be seen that there are no contented people in science.
So, is it possible to achieve "contentment" in life? I think it is, and it is not. Personally, I don't think we can be insatiable, harm others and benefit ourselves, and blindly pursue money. This is what Comrade Lei Feng said: "Keep a low standard in life"! But if it is for everyone's living standard, it should be "unsatisfied". It has been more than 60 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Although our living standards are constantly improving, we must see that the problem of food and clothing for some poor mountain people has not been solved, and their lives have just been solved. Compared with some developed countries, we still have a long way to go. If we are "satisfied", then we will never be able to improve our living standards, not only failing to catch up with developed countries, but also easily falling behind. In other words, people will not be "happy" but "worried".
Now, we live in an era of reform, with knowledge and information, science and technology advancing by leaps and bounds. If you are not strong, you don't belong to this era. To be a strong man of the times, don't be "satisfied", but keep making progress.
Satisfied and short-sighted; Those who are satisfied will rest on their laurels; Content, shallow knowledge; Contentment makes people stupid and kills morale; It brings people "constant troubles" instead of "constant happiness". Only dissatisfaction can make people have the contemporary spirit of pioneering, pursuing and exploring; Give people a strong will, a passion for struggle, and make people indomitable and studious. Only by bravely climbing and going forward can we have "endless fun".
