"Dua" is commonly known as "seeing the depression". Walking in the streets where Hui people gather, you will often see a blue or red rectangular plaque hanging on the lintel of a Hui non-staple food store, restaurant or family, which is written in zigzag Arabic or ancient Persian documents. This is the symbol of the Hui people, called "Dua".

"Du 'a" is a transliteration of Arabic, which means "prayer".

Hui people often write "Dua" on paper and stick it on high places inside and outside the house to celebrate festivals or weddings. In order to make it easy for Hui compatriots in a foreign land to find themselves, they hung "Dua" at the door. Because paper "Dua" is easy to fall off and fade, wood, iron, enamel and enamel "Dua" are used to make it durable. In terms of color, there are bright red, green symbolizing the life of plants in the Arabian desert and white symbolizing purity.
