Hello everyone!

The theme of my speech today is my favorite book.

"Books are the ladder of human progress", "Reading a good book is to exchange ideas with great men", "Books are the ocean of knowledge" and "……" These are all famous sayings about books. It is conceivable how important books are to us human beings. Without books, our life would not be so full. I love reading, because books can also make me understand the truth of being a man. Through reading, I know what is good and what is ugly.

One of my favorite books is grimm's fairy tales, because it shines like a star in the night sky. The interesting storyline in the book brought me into a fairy tale world full of magic. Beautiful fairy tales can let us know more knowledge, make people linger and never tire of watching them. For example, the little girl in "Seven Crows" endured the pain of cutting off her little finger to help her brothers in order to restore their human form, and let me know that as long as she persisted, she could succeed. The clever little tailor told us that everyone has his own advantages and disadvantages. Don't compare your strengths with others' weaknesses. All these make us understand the precious truth.

Reading a good book is like tasting a cup of light green tea; Reading a good book is like bathing in the warm sunshine; Reading a good book is like a spiritual baptism. Reading makes me an imaginative child, and reading makes me an ideal child.
