There is a very good metaphor in the scriptures: In the vast sea, there lives a big sea turtle. The sea turtle is blind and floats up from the bottom of the sea once every 100 years. On the surface of the sea, there is a big sea turtle. A golden yoke worn around the neck of a plowing ox. The turtle didn't look into Golden Yoke's eyes, and Golden Yoke didn't have the heart to look for the turtle. When the turtle comes up, the chance of fitting its head into the golden yoke is very slim.
Nagarjuna Bodhisattva said: The chance of being reincarnated as a human being is even smaller than this chance. The chance of being reincarnated as a human being is so small. The opportunity to have a leisurely life is too, too, too... rare. In this case, if we get the rare leisurely life in this life, we must let this leisurely life have it. significance.
Shantideva Bodhisattva said in "Entering the Bodhisattva's Conduct": "It is extremely rare to have a full life. Now that you can do good things in life, if you don't do good things in this life, how can you achieve such perfection in the next life?!"
? With such a precious free life, we must listen, think and practice Buddhism well to make our free life meaningful. So, what is the significance?
Instead of consuming such a precious life at a banquet hall or indulging in Korean dramas and online games, we should work hard to practice Buddhism and save all sentient beings from the sea of ??suffering in reincarnation. This is what Buddhists should do.
? Shantideva also said: "That's why the World-Honored One said, life is extremely rare. Now that you have this leisure, if you don't do this good, you can't deceive yourself, and you can't be more foolish.
