In the 1970s, only the five-story tower was left at the bottom.
Liaocheng Tower is located in longxing temple, Dongguan, Liaocheng City. The age of this tower is unknown. It can be traced back to the Song and Jin Dynasties (960 ~ 1234) and has a history of more than 700 years. The original tower has been weathered for many years, and most of it has fallen, leaving only five floors at the bottom. After the founding of New China, towers and roofs that collapsed over the years were excavated from the ground at 1973 and repaired.

Luxe in Taki, I feel the charm of western sculpture, which is the characteristic of Jin Dynasty!
1973, the tower body and the top of the tower were excavated and renovated. During the construction period, an "underground palace" with a square of 1 m and a depth of about 0.8 m was found in the center of Xumi Mountain. The "underground palace" is surrounded by relief, with a stone tomb wall with lotus flowers, clouds and water, and figures. A rectangular stone letter (stone box) is placed horizontally under the tomb wall. There is a bronze bodhisattva outside the stone letter, an orchid water bottle in Ming Dynasty and several copper coins in Song and Yuan Dynasties. There is a small silver coffin in the stone letter, which contains a monk's bone bag. The front of the silver coffin is engraved with the word "relic". The inscription on the outer end of the stone letter reads: "There was an iron tower in ancient times, north of Dongguan Street, and it fell in Yongle. During the Tianshun period, Dongchangfu officials were well organized, and Father Dening, the abbot of longxing temple, was also eager to raise money. By the sixth day of February in the second year of Chenghua, the tower had been rebuilt. Masons made it. " It can be seen that the iron tower collapsed in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, and it took many years for monks to raise funds for reconstruction in Chenghua two years. Then it was re-established in the second year of Chenghua, during which many years passed. After reconstruction, the tower basically retains its original structure and shape, which is beautiful and concise.

A white jade bridge has been built near the tower. Judy, the Ming emperor, fought here when he launched the Jing Nan War. General Changyu died on Baiyu Bridge. Seeing the danger, Judy hid under the Baiyu Bridge and never escaped. Therefore, after Judy proclaimed himself emperor, he named nearby longxing temple as a protected country. Judy felt blessed by the Buddha, so he named it "Protecting the Country".
