The power of surrender
There are always many bad things in life, such as natural and man-made disasters, setbacks in career and relationships, hardships in life, etc. However, no matter what happens, we can try our best to reduce the stress, pain and harm caused to us by choosing our attitude. In other words, saying that we can give meaning to something does not mean that you have to welcome it or insist on treating it as a good thing, but it means that you can use a rational and intelligent way to treat a passive thing Accepting something that is difficult to accept becomes something that you face bravely and take the initiative. American existentialist philosopher Paul Tillich once said a famous saying: "Accepting meaninglessness is itself a meaningful act."
Marco Auler, the "Philosopher-Emperor" of ancient Rome Famous quote: "When you find that something unfortunate has happened in your life, don't stubbornly think that it is unfortunate, because you can maintain inner freedom in the face of any misfortune and pain. Remember, in the face of any possible misfortune, Use the principle that it is not a misfortune to endure it nobly, but it is a blessing to endure it nobly." This is what the great contemporary spiritual teacher Ek Hartley said in "The Present." The "surrender" mentioned in "Strength" means the same thing.
The law of surrender: everything comes for me, everything is the best arrangement, everything happens to help me, everything is created for a reason, maybe to teach me something What.
Surrender has two meanings: the first level is to accept the fact that has happened;
The second level is to surrender to the emotions derived from the event and do not fight against it.
There is "total acceptance" in Buddhism, which means that everything you meet so far is the best: the people you meet are the best, accept it completely; even the disease you have is also the best. Yes, accept it completely, don’t have any complaints, you will get what you deserve, and it doesn’t matter if you get it. In the writer Xue Mo's "Desert Festival", Lao Shun specifically said: "If God can give it, I can take it." He has this kind of thing in him.
Santideva Bodhisattva said: "If there is a way to solve a problem, there is no need to worry; if there is no way to solve it, there is no use worrying."
"The Doctrine of the Mean": "A gentleman is in his position. Do not want to be outside of others. If you are rich and noble, you will be rich and noble. If you are poor and humble, you will be poor and humble. If you are a barbarian, you will be humble. Said: "When everything goes against you, the only way is to accept it." ''
The only way to deal with the difficulties we face is by surrendering. That is to unconditionally accept the unacceptable reality, and then take positive actions to try your best to get out of the predicament.
Learn to surrender (everything is as it is, that is, what Lao Tzu has always said is "inaction."), and regard the unpleasant or unpleasant things that happen to you every day as a kind of practice. Follow your excitement and passion and be your authentic, natural self.
So, if you always blame others, you are not a true ascetic. A true cultivator accepts everything and does not change according to circumstances.
Burt Hellinger's poem "I Allow"
I allow everything to be as it is
I allow anything to happen.
I allow it, things started like this,
developed like this, and ended like this.
Because I know that
All things come from the combination of causes and conditions.
Everything that happens is inevitable.
If I think it should be another possibility,
The only person who will be hurt is myself.
The only thing I can do,
is allow it.
I allow others to be as they are.
I allow him to think like this,
judge me like this, and treat me like this.
Because I know,
He is like this,
In his case, he is right.
If I think he should be different,
I will only hurt myself.
The only thing I can do,
is allow it.
I allow myself to have such thoughts.
I allow every thought to appear,
let it exist,
let it disappear.
Because I know that
The thought itself is meaningless and has nothing to do with me.
It will come when it should come and go when it should go.
If I feel that such thoughts should not occur,
I will only hurt myself.
The only thing I can do,
is allow it.
I allowed myself to feel this way.
I allow every emotion to occur,
let it develop,
let it pass through.
Because I know that
Emotions are just physical feelings,
not good or bad.
The more you resist, the stronger it becomes.
If I feel that such emotions should not occur,
I will only hurt myself.
The only thing I can do,
is allow it.
I allow myself to be like this.
I allow it, this is how I behave,
how I behave,
just let me behave however I want.
Because I know,
What it looks like on the outside is just my own accumulation.
The real me is full of wisdom.
If I think it should be different,
I will only hurt myself.
The only thing I can do,
is allow it.
I know,
I am here for the experience of life in the present.
In every present moment,
the only thing I have to do is
to allow it completely,
to experience it completely,
Experience it completely,
Enjoy it completely.
Look, just look.
Allow
Everything is as it is!
Sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you!
