20 13 12 the unsung hero memorial square built by the liaison department of the general political department of China people's liberation army was completed in the scenic Xishan national forest park. It was built to commemorate the unsung hero of our Party who died in Taiwan Province Province in 1960s. Around 1949, our party secretly sent 1500 cadres to Taiwan according to the central government's decision to liberate Taiwan Province Province, among which 1 100 were executed by the Kuomintang authorities after their identities were exposed.
