It is said that there was a bachelor named Jie Jin in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. It is said that he was able to recite poems at the age of six or seven, and people called him a "prodigy". When Jie Jin was five years old, he and a group of peers were playing games in the village. In June, the weather changed. Suddenly, it rained heavily under the thunder and lightning. Because Jie Jin was young, he couldn't run faster than the children taller than him. He slipped and wrestled in rainy days and got mud all over. Instead of giving him a hand, his playmates laughed at Jie Jin like a clay doll.
Jie Jin, covered in muddy water, sang a poem in his immature voice when he saw the scene: "It rains for a rainy day, and the neighborhood is as slippery as oil. The phoenix fell to the ground and laughed and killed a group of cows. " He compared his companions who laughed at him to cows and compared himself to a phoenix.
His father saw Jie Jin's cleverness and always wanted to test him. During the spring ploughing season, his father took him to the field where seedlings were planted. His father standing in the paddy field planted seedlings and sent a couplet to Xiao Jie Jin: "The straw sticks to the seedlings and the father holds the child." Xiao Jie Jin, standing on the ridge of the field, suddenly there was an old woman in front of the bamboo forest who was loading bamboo shoots in a bamboo basket. As soon as he rolled his eyes, he immediately made a couplet and said to his father, "Bamboo and blue bamboo shoots are pregnant." A pair of clever couplets won the father's laughter.
Jie Jin's family is relatively poor. There is a small yard in front of three thatched houses, and the door of this small yard is just opposite to the bamboo garden of a rich man's house in the village, so he posted a couplet on his door:
The door is very unhappy with the bamboo
The rich man who lives in thousands of books
, thinking: How can I borrow the bamboo garden scenery of my house? So he ordered people to cut a piece of bamboo. When Jie Jin saw this, he added a word to the couplets:
Men were even more angry with the rich man who lived in thousands of books.
He immediately ordered people to cut all the bamboo. After Jie Jin saw it, he added a word to the couplets:
The door is short of bamboo.
The family has thousands of books.
This time, the rich man was very surprised and asked his servant to call Jie Jin. When Jie Jin came to the rich man's house, he saw the front door closed and said loudly, "The front door is not open. This is not the reason to welcome guests." The rich man said in the door, "I'm going out for the upper part. If you can get the lower part, I'll open the door to meet you." Then, I read:
Little dogs are ignorant and the road is narrow
Jie Jin said to me:
Dapeng spreads its wings and hates the sky.
The rich man made another couplet:
The sky is a chessboard star, who dares to make a couplet
Jie Jin immediately takes it out:
When the pipa road is a string, which one can play
The rich man listens to Jie Jin. Admire the child from the heart. Later, the rich man brought Jie Jin into the mansion, asked Mr. Wang to teach him to read and write, and went to Beijing to take the exam. He was buried in the ground. It is said that he was only a teenager when he was an official. Because of his talent, he was named as a cabinet record by Zhu Yuanzhang and a university student in Youchunfang.
Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty was very appreciative of Jie Jin's talent. But Zhu Yuanzhang was also born a poor child. After he became emperor, he was the last person to expose his past, and he liked to listen to nice words. In Jie Jin, who was an official in the DPRK, he knew the emperor's habits like the back of his hand. Jie Jin himself was a proud man, but in front of the emperor, he had to say something nice, but he won the dragon's heart without losing his manners!
One day, Jie Jin accompanied Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang on a tour of the Imperial Garden. The emperor suddenly said to Jie Jin, "There was joy in the palace last night. Don't you write a poem?"
Jie Jin immediately thought that a prince might be born, and immediately said,
The king gave a golden dragon last night, but Zhu Yuanzhang said, "It's a princess." Jie Jin's brain turned sharply and sang the second sentence:
Turn it into the ninth weight of Chang 'e
Who knows, Zhu Yuanzhang went on to say, "Unfortunately, he is dead." Jie Jin immediately changed his tune:
It is expected that the world can't stay
. This sentence is wonderful, and it is unfortunate to treat it as "just came down to earth and left or ascended to heaven". Zhu Yuanzhang then said: "She has been thrown into the water." Jie Jin immediately sang:
Turn over and leap into the Crystal Palace
In ancient times, only the emperor's children could be called "dragon species". The last sentence echoed the first sentence, which was wonderful. The poem won the emperor a hearty laugh!
On the Spring Festival one year, Zhu Yuanzhang gave a banquet for officials of civil and military affairs. After three rounds of wine and five flavors of food, those self-righteous old ministers laughed at him with couplets when they saw little Jie Jin in a green robe. "The toad in the well wears a green coat," Jie Jin blurted out the bottom couplet immediately knowing that those people were laughing at him. "The crab in the pot is wearing a red robe." He compared the old ministers to boiled dead crabs, which made them angry and blushed!
When Jie Jin was an official, he did a lot of practical things for the common people. His talent, his pride and honest and frank offended many powerful officials, knowing that he would die a natural death sooner or later, so he set up a satisfactory bureau for his home.
once, the empress was ill, and after a long period of treatment, the emperor was very anxious. Jie Jin had a plan in mind and said to the emperor, "The queen has a strange disease, which can only be cured with a square heart." When the emperor heard this, he was happy and worried. Where can he find the hearts of the Quartet?
Jie Jin guessed the emperor's mind. He patted his chest and said, "Your Majesty, my heart is square. As long as I can cure the empress, I will die!" The emperor was very moved and said, "Your loyalty is commendable, but I can't bear to kill you." Jie Jin smiled easily: "Your Majesty, I will not die. I learned a talisman tactic in Longhushan when I was young. At that time, please read my formula three times in a row, and my little minister will be safe. " The emperor was relieved.
The next day, the emperor summoned officials from civil and military departments to see Jie Jin's heart. All the civil and military officials have made a fuss about Jie Jin. Jie Jin was very calm and said to the emperor, "Your Majesty, remember to read the amulet!" The emperor nodded and agreed. Jie Jin conveniently took a steel knife, stabbed it into his chest, and urged the emperor to read the formula quickly.
When the emperor saw his blood gushing out, he quickly opened the note given by Jie Jin and read: "Died in the Golden Temple and was buried in the Purple Mountain." Jie Jin still had a breath and struggled to say, "Thank you, Lord Long En!" Then he lost his breath. The emperor asked people to take out his heart and see: it is no different from ordinary people's hearts. Where is a square heart? Think about his "formula" again, and it suddenly dawned on me that he wanted the emperor to let him "die in the golden hall and be buried in the Purple Mountain", which was the highest reward! The emperor knew that he was cheated, but it was not easy to change his mind, so he had to be buried in Purple Mountain. Because the emperor is a "golden mouth and jade words", what he said is a word, and Jie Jin helped himself and protected his family by borrowing poems.
