Zhu Yuanzhang asked Liu Bowen how long Zhujiajian could last. Liu Bowen said, What does it mean that my Lord has thousands of children and grandchildren?
Zhu Yuanzhang is one of the most legendary founding emperors in the history of China. 1368 proclaimed himself emperor in Yingtianfu and established the Ming Dynasty. When he was a child, his experience was very poor. Not only did his family die young, but he also owed a lot of money to the government, and he had to live a miserable life of begging on the street without money.

Dialogue between Zhu Yuanzhang and Liu Bowen

It is easy to conquer the world, but difficult to defend it. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang entered the society from a dirty little beggar. It took him more than ten years to build a country of his own, and this country is called Zhu! Perhaps he experienced too much bitterness since he was a child, or perhaps he worked too hard on the road to war, so he cherished his life more after the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Legend has it that Liu Bowen calculated that Zhu Yuanzhang would persecute and kill heroes, so he asked Zhu Yuanzhang to abdicate. Zhu Yuanzhang asked Liu Bowen to count the fortunes of the Ming Dynasty. Thus, there was a dialogue between Zhu Yuanzhang and Liu Bowen about predicting the future. Later, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered people to record these conversations, so there was the Song of Cooking.

In these dialogues, Liu Bowen got the message and told Zhu Yuanzhang about the national luck of the Ming Dynasty. There are two important sentences, one of which is Zhu Yuanzhang asking if Jia Zhu can persist for a long time.

Liu Bowen focused, no famous words, no expired, he gently said:

Great events in the world have their own days, and my master, children and grandchildren must have millions. You don't have to ask me, God will arrange it! The implication of Liu Bowen's answer is that God has a destiny, so how can you and I interfere?

This is telling the truth. Besides, he said that my adult children and grandchildren must be millions, which is a good news for Zhu Yuanzhang. You have descendants from generation to generation. How long do you think Zhujiajian will last? Maybe Zhu Yuanzhang recognized the meaning of Liu Bowen.

So what does this sentence mean?

Sun Wan:

Wan Wan refers to the Wanli Emperor Zhu Yijun;

Wanzi is Zhu Changluo, the son of Emperor Wanli;

Sun Wan refers to Zhu Youjian, the grandson of Emperor Wanli.

In the Ming Dynasty, there was an emperor Wanli who did not go to court for thirty years. All decrees were resolved by memorials, and the Ming Dynasty was basically decadent. After Emperor Wanli, the Ming Dynasty was only passed on to the third generation emperor Chongzhen. Chongzhen's father was too short-lived after he succeeded to the throne, and his younger brother, Emperor Apocalypse, was addicted to woodworking art and did not serve his country. However, Chongzhen's incompetence ended in his hands.

Summary: In fact, Liu Bowen's "10,000 sons, 10,000 grandchildren" was also an easy-going answer to Zhu Yuanzhang's question at that time. However, I didn't expect that there really was a "Wanli Emperor" in the Ming Dynasty, which may be a coincidence.
