"The morning glow does not go out, but the sunset travels thousands of miles" is a folk proverb, which means that when the sun rises and the morning glow appears, the future weather may rain; and when the sun sets and the sunset appears, the future weather may be sunny. Why is this?
Clouds are the result of sunlight passing through the thick atmosphere and being scattered by a large number of air molecules around sunrise and sunset. The more dust, water vapor and other impurities in the air, the more pronounced the color of the clouds will be. If there are clouds, the clouds will also be dyed in bright colors.
The color and brightness of clouds are related to the moisture in the atmosphere, so they are indicative of weather changes. Before and after sunrise, if a bright red alpenglow appears in the sky, it means there is more water vapor and small water droplets in the atmosphere, and clouds have begun to invade the area from the west, indicating that the weather will turn from sunny to rainy. The appearance of crimson or golden sunset indicates that the clouds containing a large amount of water vapor have moved to the west, the rain has dispersed in the east, and as night falls, the atmosphere becomes stable and the weather is about to clear up.
