The MiG-29 has superior maneuverability. Before the veil was unveiled, it was a nightmare for Western air force fighter pilots. However, as the MiG-29 gradually decrypted, the halo on its head gradually disappeared. Users generally complain about its poor maintainability (the Indian Air Force's MiG-29 fleet once had a record of 40% being stuck), short range, weak ground attack capabilities, and weak beyond-visual-range air combat capabilities...especially in the Gulf War and Kosovo. The missile was so unnoticed when the AIM-120 entered relay guidance flight that it did not issue a warning until the AIM-120 entered terminal guidance and the active radar on the missile was turned on, but it was too late. Archimedes once said, "Give me a fulcrum and a lever long enough and I can lift the entire earth." The flight performance of the MiG-29 is just like its nickname, it is the "fulcrum". However, due to the influence of various factors, the MiG-29's comprehensive combat capabilities are not strong, and users have never been able to find a "lever long enough" (comprehensive combat capabilities) to "pry up the earth." Therefore, the later modifications of the MiG-29 have been looking for a way to "extend the lever" to increase the range and enhance ground and beyond visual range combat capabilities in various ways.
