1. Jiangnan Spring
Tang Dynasty: Du Mu
Thousands of miles away, the orioles sing, the green reflects the red, and the wine flags in the mountains and rivers of the water are in the wind.
There are four hundred and eighty temples in the Southern Dynasties, and many towers are in the mist.
Translation: In the vast south of the Yangtze River, singing and dancing birds are everywhere, green trees and red flowers complement each other, and wine flags are flying everywhere in the villages near the water and in the city walls at the foot of the mountains. Many ancient temples left over from the Southern Dynasties are now shrouded in mist.
2. Evening Scene of the Spring River in Huichong
Song Dynasty: Su Shi
Three or two branches of peach blossoms outside the bamboo are a prophet of the warmth of the spring river.
The ground is covered with wormwood and short reed buds, which is when the puffer fish is about to come.
Translation: Two or three peach blossoms are blooming outside the bamboo forest, and the ducks playing in the water are the first to notice the warming of the river in early spring. The river beach is covered with wormwood, and the reeds have sprouted short new shoots. At this time, the puffer fish is about to swim upstream from the sea to the river.
3. Recalling Jiangnan·Jiangnan is good
Tang Dynasty: Bai Juyi
Jiangnan is good, and the scenery is familiar to me.
When the sun rises, the flowers on the river are as red as fire, and when spring comes, the river is as green as blue. Can you not remember Jiangnan?
Translation: Jiangnan is a good place, and I was once familiar with the scenery there. In spring, the sun rises from the river, shining the river flowers redder than red, and the green river water is greener than the blue grass. How can one not miss Jiangnan?
4. Good spring, soft apple leaves
Five Dynasties: He Ning
The apple leaves are soft, the apricot flowers are bright, and the painted boats are light. The mandarin ducks in the double bath come out of the green pavilion and sing.
The spring water is windless and waveless, and it is half rainy and half sunny in spring. The red and pink flowers accompany each other in Nanpu at night, which is quite affectionate.
Translation: The tender apple leaves on the water contrast with the pure apricot blossoms on the shore; the beautiful emerald red mandarin duck floats with its long green ripples. A light painting shakes out of the boat, adding a few romantic "songs". The spring light is swaying lightly, bright and pleasant! Fortunately, the water is calm and windless; the sky is fortunately half rainy and half clear. In the sparse evening mist, boating on Nanpu with a couple of pink acquaintances, there is a bit more hidden affection!
5. Spring Dawn on Su Di
Qing Dynasty: Ruan Yuan
The moon is slanted on the North Peak, and the lake is as bright as a ten-mile stretch.
The dawn of spring is bluish white, and the east wind blows cold peach blossoms.
Translation: The full moon hangs obliquely on the North Peak, casting a faint moonlight. The lake light shows the color of the mountains, the contrast between light and dark, and the ten-mile West Lake leads to the far reaches. At the dawn of spring, the sky is blue and white, and a gust of east wind blows. It is warm and cold at first, but the bright peach blossoms have already announced the awakening of spring.
