This friend wants to know the sentences of the whole poem. In fact, "the abyss will eventually have a bottom, and only the human heart can't measure it" is not selected from poetry, but a proverb that has been circulated among the people and orally for a long time.
Some people use "no one has ever asked the truth, but the routine has won people's hearts", which is also called doggerel. Actually, it's not a doggerel, but two proverbs with similar meanings are put together.
This sentence is very philosophical and often used by people. It has also been included in books such as 4,000 proverbs handed down from ancient times in China and China Proverbs Integration. It is a famous aphorism.
As for the earliest source of this sentence, it is still difficult to determine. It can be found that the earlier source is Qian Cai's long legendary novel Yue Quan Chuan in Qing Dynasty. Two proverbs were used for the fourth time: "The abyss will eventually have a bottom, and only the human heart can't measure it. Tigers and leopards are difficult to ride, and people are separated by their bellies. " But I don't know if it's out of town or the first one.
There are many famous aphorisms with similar meanings. Let me give you a few more examples: it is difficult to draw a tiger's skin, but people know its face but not its heart. A man knows his face, but not his heart. An administrator knows his village. A hundred feet of well water can see clearly, and an inch of thick heart can see through. Thousands of feet can see through the deep water, but an inch of people can't fathom it. ...
What these sentences want to express is nothing more than "ulterior motives" and "to guard against people's hearts"
This proverb was also used in the TV series Tang from 65438 to 0992. After the Anshi Rebellion, Li Longji met an old farmer on his way to escape. The old farmer gave him a steamed corn-bread, and said to him with deep sympathy: How wise you are after you ascended the throne and how popular you are with the people! But then An Lushan was unfaithful, and everyone knew that only you, the emperor, didn't know!
Li Longji said to the old farmer, "You have been farming for generations. You know farming depends on the weather, and unexpected things will happen. I have been emperor for several generations. Being an emperor depends on people, but the abyss has a bottom, and only the human heart can't be measured. Why don't we change, I farm, how about you being the emperor? " The old farmer shook his head again and again and said, "Dare not dare".
There are many examples of this unpredictable heart. For example, the story of "basin water killing" recorded in "Everything is done wrong" is shocking. He offended the villain because he was drunk and didn't speak well, and was finally killed by revenge.
Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, was also retaliated by eunuchs. At a palace banquet, Li Bai wrote three "Qingpingdiao" to praise the beauty of Yang Yuhuan. He asked eunuch Gao Lishi to take off his boots while writing a poem. Gao Lishi is deeply ashamed and bears a grudge.
There is a line in Li Bai's poem, "Ask who the Han Palace looks like, poor swallow leans on new makeup." He just compared Zhao's beauty and beauty. Gao Lishi saw an opportunity for revenge. One day, when Gao Lishi heard Yang Yuhuan recite Qing Ping Diao, he said in a joking tone, "I thought the Empress would hate Li Bai because of these poems, but I didn't expect the Empress to like it so much." Yang Yuhuan was taken aback and asked, "Did Li Hanlin insult me?" Gao Lishi said, "Haven't you noticed? He compared the queen to Zhao. What kind of woman is Zhao? How can she compare with the queen? He treats the queen as lewd as Zhao! " Immediately aroused Yang Yuhuan antipathy and hatred.
Later, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty promoted Li Bai three times, but all of them were stopped by Yang Yuhuan. By this means, Gao Lishi achieved the goal of taking off his boots.
These living examples are really worth pondering!
